What's your typical Sunday look like?

 

You can feel free to dress as casual or as formal as you like. We encourage you to come as you are! Our Sunday services offer a variety of contemporary and traditional styles that give us all the opportunity to have meaningful and engaging encounters with Jesus. We see worship music at our Sunday services as a catalyst for the faith we're going to receive in fellowship with Him and each other. Our Sunday services are about an hour in length.

 

We have one Sunday service at 9:30 AM to consist of the following sections of sheer awesomeness:

• We will pray together

• We will sing together

• We will share in God's Word together

• We will hang out together over some coffee and goodies

 

From September through mother's day we also include Sunday School classes from 11-11:45 AM. For more information, please see our church calendar or ask any of our friendly welcome volunteers when you arrive. We are looking forward to meeting you!

 

 

What about my kids?

 

Just like Jesus, we love kids! We strongly believe in the investment of time and resources to the next generation-it is a part of who we are! Your children are more than welcome to their age-appropriate options. During our Sunday services, children ages 3-2nd grade attend our Children's Church service made just for them!

All the kids from Preschool through High School have Sunday School opportunities from 10 - 10:40 AM. We have the nursery available for infants to 3-year-olds. When you arrive, you will see the nursery to your right from the main entrance. You can approach our welcome teams for anything you might need to know!

Our Kids Ministries (Cadets for the boys and GEMS for the girls) includes quality approaches for children from 1st -5th grade and meets every Sunday from 6:30 - 8 PM (please confirm with our church calendar for more details).

We also have our Youth Ministry called Forged every Sunday evening from 6:30 - 8 PM for youth in Middle School through High School.

 

All of the programs in our Kids Ministry run throughout the course of the school year.

 

What about worship styles?

 

Everyone has preferences concerning worship styles, and here at Tacoma Christian Reformed Community Church we try to create an environment of worship that resembles the "table you set before me" that David spoke of in the book of Psalms.

 

At this table, there are all kinds of goodies for everyone to come and feast! And while some might like the peas, and others prefer the beef (let's admit it though, many of us can definitely put both away, right?), there is something at this table- for everyone.

 

With this in mind, our 9:30 AM Sunday service reflects more of a blended mix of classic hymns, semi-contemporary and contemporary worship. We can go from How Great is our God right into How Great Thou Art. We can start off with Our God and respond to the message with Be Thou my Vision. That's our 9:30 AM "table" for you!
